Destinations we offer > Egypt > Lahami

115 km south of Marsa Alam this is the furthest south tourism has reached. Near the ancient town of Berenice the trip from the airport takes you through the marvelous white sands and mangrove stands of Wadi El Gimal Nature Park. The bay after which it is called is adorned with turquoise lagoons, extended sandy beaches and intact coral reefs.

No doubt the hordes will soon decsend on this tranquil place but for now it is a divers paradise.

The diving

Directy facing the reefs of Fury Shoals, Lahami Bay is also by far the nearest place for day diving the sites of Zabargad & Rocky Islands and St Johns Reef. Within an hour are 40 pristine dive sites including Sataya, Abu Galawa, Malahi and Shaab Maksur. Before all of the sites mentioned above were only accessible by liveaboard, now you can visit and stay in luxury.

The house reef is also one of the best in the Red Sea starting less than a hundred meters from the beach. There are countless coral barriers, patches and pillars at depths from 15 to 60 metres. This unique system offers unlimited shore diving at anytime of the day and night.

Accommodation we offer

Even though the eco villages of Nakari and Shagra are not as isolated as they used to be there still remains the pioneering spirit. While others nearby are experiencing home from home comforts here you will notice the stars, the sea laping on the shore and the silence of the desert whilst around a camp fire.
